Eraserhead (13)

Eraserhead was formed when Mephistopheles (10) broke up in 1987 by former Mephistopheles singer Kazuhiro "Rob" Umehara on vocals, Randy Takahashi on guitar, Akira Ōgushi on bass, and Tetsu Kikuchi on drums. The drummer Tetsu left the band shortly after to join D'Erlanger and was replaced by former Jewel drummer Koji Shirai. They've only played 5 live shows in their short existence before breaking up in 1988. No recordings were made at the time but the band was reformed with a new lineup around the same time Mephistopheles got back together in 2001 and their newly recorded studio material was included as bonus tracks on the Mephistopheles "Metal On Metal" first album. The 2001 new lineup included Kazuhiro "Rob" Umehara on vocals, Akio Shimizu from Anthem on guitar, Toshi from Gargoyle on bass, Katsuji from Gargoyle on drums, and Masashi Okagaki (ex-Terra Rosa, Precious etc) on drums. Their last known lineup around 2008/2009 was Kazuhiro "Rob" Umehara on vocals, Tadashi Kajiya (Mephistopheles) on guitar, Daiki on guitar, Azusa on bass, and Junichi Satou (Mephistopheles) on drums.
