Mephistopheles are a Japanese heavy metal band originally active from 1982 to 1987, played a one-time reunion show in November 1999 and reformed again in 2001. Their music is highly influenced by Accept and German metal bands. They play speed / power metal with thrash elements. In Japan, they're often dubbed as the "Japanese Accept."
