Ernest Borbee

American pianist (born December 5, 1892 in Perth Amboy, NJ - died September 7, 1957 in New York City) A bookkeeper and accountant by day, Borbee led a popular five-piece dance band that recorded four titles for Columbia in 1917 under the name Borbee's Jass Orchestra. In 1923, Borbee played the piano with the Original Georgia Five on five titles recorded for the Olympic (11) label, but also released on other small labels.
