Half-Cuban/half-Italian pop singer Anamor (2) released an album, L'Inferno O L'Anima, in 1999 under the name Cenere, before moving to Cuba and finally, Miami. It was in the U.S. that the idea for Anamor (2) was born, and in 2007 she released the single Damela Si. In Latin America it was met with enough success to convince Anamor (2) to release it in Italy as well. In the fall of that same year her full-length, De Lo Tanto Que Te Amo, came out, accompanied by a U.S. gay club tour. Among the rumors circulating about the singer are that she played a child role in "Once Upon A Time in America", that she participated in the Sanremo and Castrocaro Festivals and that she is a transgender artist.
