Dennis Munday was born on August 15 1948, in New Eltham, South East London. He worked in the early 70's as in a general office position for Polydor’s (UK) Tape Marketing Manager and was promoted a year later to Polydor’s Jazz A & R manger, and worked with the legendary jazz producer Norman Granz. During this period, he worked with many great jazz artists, including Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson, Count Basie, Zoot Sims, Dizzy Gillespie, Milt Jackson, and Joe Pass. He jumped at the chance to take over the 'Punk' bands that Polydor had signed, working with Sham ’69, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Jam, and The Style Council. He also worked with John Otway, Ritchie Blackmore, The Who, Godley & Creme, Visage, and gave Lisa Stansfield, her first contract. I was during this period he cut his only single as a member of The Running Soress, sadly the band were unable to get the single pressed due to bad language restrictions. In the 80's, Dennis worked independently on a number of compilations and productions and in the early 2000's moved to Italy to pursue a career as a writer.
