Banda Do Corpo De Bombeiros Do Estado Do Rio de Janeiro
Настоящее имя: Banda Do Corpo De Bombeiros Do Estado Do Rio de Janeiro
Об исполнителе:
This is the current designation of the orchestra born in 1889 at the time of the proclamation of the republic in Brazil. Originally only known as Banda Do Corpo De Bombeiros, it was one of the first ensembles to appear on Brazilian records, back in the 1910's recordings by Casa Edison for the Odeon label. It came to be known as Banda Do Corpo De Bomberos Do Distrito Federal when the city of Rio de Janeiro was designated as "Federal District" in 1891. In 1961, with the transfer of the federal capital to Brasilia, the band was renamed Banda Do Corpo De Bomberos Do Estado Da Guanabara and in 1974 assumes its current name with the extinction of the state of Guanabara in favor of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The first leader, conductor and composer of the "Banda Do Corpo De Bombeiros" was Anacleto De Medeiros, one of the forerunners of the Choro musical style.
