Pittsburgh-based band specializing in what they call "traditional Pittsburgh Cajun" - a mix of zydeco, Cajun, and New Orleans piano blues and boogie woogie. Formed in 1990 by Tim Menees (keyboards, accordion, vocals), Jim Bird (guitar, vocals), and Mike Kolesar (drums). Other members - Joe Marszalek - bass, Diana Nelson Jones - rubboard, percussion, Hank Fanberg - congas, percussion, vocals, and Dr. James "Buster" Alston - sax, flute. Active from 1990 through 2014 in Western Pennsylvania, with occasional gigs in West Virginia, Ohio, Virginia, and the rest of Pennsylvania. Opened for numerous national acts including Buckwheat Zydeco, Marcia Ball, the Neville Brothers, C. J. Chenier, Terrance Simien, Zachary Richard, Beausoliel, Rory Block, the Flatlanders, Roseanne Cash, and many more.
