Mark Boone Junior

American character actor and film producer (b. 17 March 1955, Cincinnati, Ohio). Active since 1983, Mark Boone Junior had over 100 film roles, including such prominent movies as Die Hard 2 (1990) by Renny Harlin, Christopher Nolan's Memento (2000) and Batman Begins in 2005, or John Singleton's 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003). He appeared in many prominent TV series, such as Law & Order, Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, and starred as "Bobby Munson" in Kurt Sutter's critically-acclaimed Sons of Anarchy (2008–14). Mark Boone won several awards, including the "Best Actor" for Sam Upton's sports drama 12 Round Gun (2017) at the Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival and Northeast Film Festival's "Best Ensemble Cast" shared prize for American Satan fantasy/music drama directed by Ash Avildsen. Mark Heidrich was born in Ohio and grew up on Chicago's North Shore, attending the University Of Vermont. Mark moved to New York City after college, active as a stand-up comedian with his long-time friend and collaborator, Steve Buscemi; during this period, he adopted the "Boone Junior" stage name. In 1987, Boone co-starred with Richard Edson in Not a Door: A Spectacle, a collaborative art performance at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, based on the poetry of St. John of the Cross, writings of Jean Genet and Georges Bataille, and Flaubert's Temptation of St. Anthony, and co-directed by Joseph Nechvatal and Scott B (of iconic Beth B & Scott B NYC filmmaker's duo, closely associated with No Wave and the "Cinema of Transgression" scenes).
