Everyday People (12)

Everyday People (12) was the unification of three separate Kansas City, Kansas high school garage bands. Chargers' bassist Andre Hampton; Airliners' guitarist Charlie Taylor; and three Standells: drummer Len "Beaver" Pearson, keyboardist Marvin Mitchell, and vocalist Lawrence "LB" Colding. The band gigged constantly following Hampton's 1969 graduation from Sumner High School until their 1972 session at Damon Recording Studios, which produced the original work "Super Black" and a complete overhaul of their namesake song. An additional track was recorded for intended use behind the Trenton, New Jersey-based vocal group The T.N.J.'s, but "Is It Really That Bad" never made it beyond the acetate stage.
