Henrietta Myers

African-American singer (contralto) and choral director (born November 10, 1878 in Nashville, Tennessee – died March 25, 1968) Myers married a fellow Fisk Jubilee Singer, Rev. James A. Myers in 1906. After his death in 1928, she took over from him as the leader of the Fisk Jubilee Singers and continued touring the world with them until she retired in 1947.
