Astor Bolognini

Argentinian violinist and director. Began playing in classical but also tango orchestras. Then moved to the US where he integrated The Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Brother of Ennio Bolognini, cellist, and Remo Bolognini, violinist (both played in played in the Chicago Symphony conducted by Arturo Toscanini in the 1930's and the NY Philharmonic). Astor Piazzolla's first name was given by his father who was a close friend of Astor Bolognini.
