Gertrude Warner

American radio and TV actress. Born April 2, 1917 in West Hartford, Connecticut Died January 26, 1986 in New York City, New York (69 years of age). She was married to actor and director Carl Frank (1955-7). On radio, she was the voice of Margot Lane in ''The Shadow'' and of Della Street in "Perry Mason." She began acting in the 1930's at radio station WTIC in her hometown of Hartford. In 1939, she moved to the NBC-Red radio network in New York. During the 40's and 50's, she played dozens of roles. Later in her life, she taught acting for television at Oberlin College and Weist Barron studios.
