Johnny Mac is an Australian rock 'n' roll and country singer who was born on August 17, 1932 in Parkside, SA. inducted into the Australasian Country Music Hall Of Fame in 1978. For six years he was contracted exclusively to Channel 7 in Adelaide, working daily on the children's show Wonder-Land and weekly on Country Style. In addition to performing in Australia, he did two tours entertaining troops in Vietnam. In 1983, while on holiday in the US, Johnny bought Elvis Presley's 1969 gold Cadillac Eldorado. Together with his wife Barbara, he has six children and lives in Novar Gardens.
