onenumberprinciple was started by brothers Aaron Thompson and Michael Thompson who also started and co-ran lastminuterecords in Rochester, MN in 1998. Aaron played guitar and screamed, Michael played drums and sang, after writing Made of Wax and performing a show at a barn opening for Cadillac Blindside, Michael Johnson was brought in to record additional guitar and bass on the song so it could be released on the Gnostic Evolution compilation, the first CD released by lastminuterecords. Michael joined as a member on guitar and voals and Chad "Cheetah" Arnold joined on bass guitar. The band played many shows from 1998-2001, opening for bands such as Cadillac Blindside, the Appleseed Cast, Russian Circles, Mates Of State, Building Better Bombs, Amp 176, Motion City Soundtrack and many others.
