The Robins (4)

In 1980 The Robins (4) came together. A natural evolution of Purple Knight, The Robins (4) were the next generation of punk rock. In 1980 they released a self-titled album, playing basement shows for a handful of enthusiastic fans around Moncton. They made two trips to Halifax and made connections with other bands, laying a framework for a future touring circuit. Heavily influenced by British punk at the time, the trio would become influential in its own right. Mark Gaudet played guitar in this band, experimenting with the sounds of the emerging hardcore bands coming out of the West Coast.
