Edward J. Smith

Edward J. Smith (1913-1984) was a US classical music label owner and founded the labels The Golden Age Of Opera (1956-1971), Unique Opera Records (1972-1977), and A.N.N.A. Record Company (1978-1982). His labels' releases were privately issued, and sold through subscription services. Between the years 1954 to 1981, Smith also released many "special"-label issues, which were one-off and only for the contents of a single release. He was married to contralto vocalist Elizabeth Wysor.
