Настоящее имя: DJ S.T.R.E.S.S.
Об исполнителе:
Turntablist and mix tape deejay primarily known for his associations with The Universal Zulu Nation and his collaborations with the Native Tongues. Publicly active from 1995-2000, he performed as a supporting act on tours for such artists as De La Soul, Jungle Brothers, Truth Enola, Mos Def, Ed O.G., Special Ed, Channel Live, KRS-One, Brand Nubian, Smif-N-Wessun, Heltah Skeltah, O.G.C., Chuck D, Smoothe Da Hustler, Trigger Tha Gambler, DV Alias Khrist, Busta Rhymes, and others. His mix tapes were distinguished by their focus on underground hip-hop exclusives and original freestyles with emcee's such as Jeru The Damaja, O.C., The Roots, etc. DJ S.T.R.E.S.S. was twice featured in The Source magazine, in the April 1995 and February 1998 issues. According to the latter profile, the name S.T.R.E.S.S. is an acronym for Striving To Reach Eternal Spiritual Serenity, "a nod to KRS-One's acronymic name" and a paradoxical riff on the spiritual idealism that characterized the consciousness movement in hip-hop, of which he was associated. He has since gone on to become a filmmaker (IMDb link below).
