Kathy Dodge (1951-1996) was a classically trained pianist and jazz vocalist from the Albany, NY region. Born in Farmington, and growing up in Delmare, NY, she attended college in the Rochester area and graduated from the Eastman School of Music in 1972. She founded the Kathy Dodge Trio with drummer Bob Cravotta and bassist Frank Pullara in 1973, and the band toured from 1974 to 1982. Dodge married Cravotta a few years after they began touring and Pullara would alternate gigs with fellow bassist, Danny Vitale. No longer touring, Kathy and Bob moved back to Rochester and settled there. The two divorced in the 1990s, but maintained a friendship and continued to perform together in Rochester. Kathy died in 1996 in an automobile accident.
