Timmy Brown, or Timothy Brown (born May 24, 1937, Richmond, Indiana, USA. Died April 4, 2020) was an American singer, former professional American football player, and actor. As a football professional, Brown played NFL football with the Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Colts. And he went on to become an NFL Champion. He was also an Eagles Hall of Famer. He changed his name slightly to avoid confusion with Jim Brown (10). As an actor, he appeared in the 1970 movie "Mash" as Cpl. Judson. He also had a recurring role in the comedy series "M*A*S*H" as Capt. Oliver Harmon 'Spearchucker' Jones. Other film roles included "Black Gunn" as Larry, "Dynamite Brothers" as Stud Brown. He co-starred with Alan Tang in "Dynamite Brothers" in that film.. He also appeared in "The Zebra Force" aka "Code Name Zebra". Having left acting, he became a Los Angeles parole officer. He worked at Camp Kilpatrick, a California juvenile detention facility. According to his son Sean, this was the facility which has inspired the 2006 movie "Gridiron Gang". Mr. Brown passed away on April 4th, 2020. He was 82 years old. He was survived by his son Sean, two grandchildren, and a sister, Della Mitchell. Because of the Corona Virus pandemic, funeral services has been postponed. His family were hoping to hold a memorial service on May 24th which would have been his 83rd birthday.
