Edwin Van't Oost

Dutch Producer and Mixer, born 1 May 1973 in Deventer, the Netherlands. Brother of Richard Van't Oost. As a duo we began our career as a Mixer in 1994, creating mixes for The Soul Show hosted by Ferry Maat ("Bond van Doorstarters") on Radio 538, The Netherlands from 1994 to 1995. From 1996 we created many mixes called “Rick’s Mixes” for the Radio Show “Weekend Rick” hosted by Rick van Velthuysen on Radio 538. Every Saturday they broadcasted a Rick’s Mix. In 1996 we made a Whigfield Megamix with airplay on Radio 538, The Netherlands. That Whigfield Megamix (Mega Ricks Mix) Whigfield II is released on Whigfield Remix Albums all over the world [m96845]. Around the same time we started to create commercial mixes for several record companies: “The Year of Trance” The Year Of Trance The Midsummer Power Mix 2000 for Beats Included. “Thunderdome Megamixes” [m23413] for ID&T. “Dance Smash Yearmixes” [m1251769] for Arcade. Around the same time, Edwin Van't Oost & Richard Van't Oost also began producing Club and Trance music. Tracks are released with artist names: 2B1, DJ Van't Oost, Student II, DJ de L’est and Stanton Vantox. Currently Edwin Van't Oost & Richard Van't Oost are mixing for Dutch Radio Station Radio 10 – Somertijd Weekend Dance Mix and Den's Fever 5 Minutes of Mixing Fame. The first DMC Remix will be released in October 2022 – DMC 477, December 2022 - DMC 479, March 2023 - DMC 482 We are also working as 2B1.
