Les Frères À Ch'val are a Quebec band founded by former Dédé Traké band members, Polo Bellemare and Thibaud de Corta . The original line up also included François Lalonde, Gilles Brisebois and Mara Tremblay. Their sound is an eclectic mix of styles, combining rock, reggae, calypso, pop and country. After several successful radio hits, including "Ma Belle Barbie", "l'Été", and "Cauchemar", the group released their debut album, "Ç'pas Grave". In winter 1997, de Corta and Tremblay left the band. Denis Lavigne, Paul Boudreault and François Robichaud joined for the second album. This album produced the band's biggest success to date, the song "Mon Voisin". For the band's third album, Catherine Ledoux replaced Paul Boudreault and Alain Quirion replaced François Robichaud; they played live until 2000. In late 2002, Polo invited some members of the Fiesta Mania Banda to join him and other members of Les Frères À Ch'val to play two shows at Club Soda in Montreal. He recorded the shows, which were released as a live double album, "Polo et les Frères LIVE," which included both a CD and a DVD. In 2017, Denis Lavigne rejoined the band for live performances with Frank, Gilles and Polo. In 2018, they made a festival appearance, adding a fifth member on electric guitar. This formation released the album Ast'heure in 2019.
