American Vocal/Pop group formed in 1970 by Tony Orlando (who was a solo-singer at that time), Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent. A few earlier hits were released under the name Dawn (5) , in 1971 the group recorded as "Dawn (5) featuring Tony Orlando" and around 1974, the group began using the name Tony Orlando & Dawn. In 1976 the group scored a new recording contract with Elektra.
