All Star Collegians
Настоящее имя: All Star Collegians
Об исполнителе:
A number of different ensembles recorded using the "All Star Collegians" name in the late 1920s-early 1930s. Except for vocalists and occasional soloists who are identified either on releases or published discographies, the personnel of these groups is not known. In rare cases, "All Star Collegians" is used as a pseudonym for orchestras that have been identified, and an effort is made to identify these orchestras on a release-by-release basis. More often, the name appears to have been applied to various studio dance orchestras who recorded either for Grey Gull (ca. 1929) or American Record Corporation (ca. 1930s). In still other cases, "All Star Collegians" may be the name of an actual group that recorded a series of collegiate fight songs and similarly themed selections for Plaza/ARC in 1930. These recordings are often themselves associated with a pseudonym, Rah-Rah Boys. However, the identity of this group is not known with certainty, and the relationship, if any, between artists credited as "All Star Collegians" is just not known.
