Anelise Knudsen

Danish ballad singer, dancer, ethnomusicological field worker, and secretary. Since 1965 married to Thorkild Knudsen. Born Anelise Brix Thomsen, 1936. Married first time to Per Nørgård. Is the mother of Jeppe Nørgaard. Employee at the Danish Folklore Archives 1961-1971. Together with Thorkild Knudsen she established Folkemusikhuset in Hogager in 1971. From mid-1970s she was especially concentrated on the Danish medieval ballads, teached at schools, folk high schools, folk music houses, and used the medieval ballads in the new women's movement.
