Blueset was a Swedish 1970s heavy blues rock power trio from Södertälje, just south of Stockholm. The group was formed in the late 1960s by guitarist/singer Kenth Loong and bassist Ingemar Linder. In 1970, Blueset issued two singles on Efel. The music was still strongly influenced by standardised, British blues. In 1972, Charlie & Esdor joined the band without recording or releasing anything. Various line-up changes followed in 1973, and the band settled with Kenth Loong (vocals, guitars), Mikael Olofsson (bass) and Claes Jansson (drums). Blueset recorded and released the album Rock Machine in 1974. Now, the sound was typical heavy blues rock with light psychedelic hints (and some Jimi Hendrix...), but the album also included old folk music and Ludwig van Beethoven. After some gigs they split. Kenth Loong died in Södertälje in 1987 after a long battle with diabetes, while Mikael Olofsson died in the winter of 2005.
