Dave Bulmer

British folk musician (fiddle, accordion, piano) and record company executive from South Shields, Tyneside, later based in Yorkshire. Died August 2, 2013 at age 62. During tours he started distributing scores of folk tunes he published under the title "Music of Ireland" (4 vols.), eventually being asked by Bill Leader to also take along records and so becoming an officious distributor for Leader (2)/ Trailer. This in turn led to the establishment of C.M. Distribution and the associated label Celtic Music, which Bulmer led from 1978 until the mid-2000s. In the late 1980s he acquired a majority stake in P.R. Records Limited with C.M., becoming the pressing plant's new managing director. Married to Ruth Bulmer, father of Calum Bulmer.
