Lyte Funkie Ones (LFO) were an American pop and hip-hop band formed in 1995 by Boston-based emcees Rich "Rich Nice" Cronin and Brian "Brizz" Gillis. Their name is based on a nickname given to Cronin: the light funky one. In 1995, Cronin and Gillis traveled to Florida to secure a record deal. While at the home of Louis J. Pearlman they met Brad Fischetti, who became the third member of the group, and were signed to Pearlman's Trans Continental Records label. In 1999, Gillis left and was replaced by Harold "Devin" Lima. In the same year the group switched labels, moving to Arista. LFO went on hiatus in 2002. In 2005, Cronin was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia. In 2009, LFO reunited for their Boys of Summer tour. Cronin passed away from complications of leukemia on September 8, 2010. In 2016, 98 Degrees contacted LFO's surviving members, asking if they'd like to join them on stage for the MTV TRL (Total Request Live) montage portion of their show. Fischetti and Devin agreed and flew to New York for the show. In 2017, the duo released a new LFO single titled "Perfect 10". The group was nearing the end of the Rich In Love Tour staged in the summer of 2017, when Devin was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal cancer. He underwent surgery to remove the cancer, but he eventually passed away on November 21, 2018. Brad Fischetti has since taken it upon himself to honor his bandmates by hosting the Pop 2000 Tour and having the members of O-Town join him on stage for an LFO medley. Brian "Brizz" Gillis passed away on March 29, 2023.
