Wayne Knight

North-American Jazz collector and producer. After a first career as an athletic coach in his native Canada from the late 50s to the late 70s, Knight founded his first company My Way Records (6) to produce non-released Frank Sinatra material. Relocated to Los Angeles in 1976, he bought out photographer and collector Ray Avery's partner in Legend Records and founded different companies and imprints to release Jazz recordings, such as Giants Of Jazz Productions / Giants Of Jazz Records, Glendale Records, Mr. Music (5), Star Line Productions, Sounds Great Records / Sounds Good Music. Although not a photographer, Knight can be credited on some Jazz-related releases for providing archive photographs sourced from his collection (photography courtesy of Wayne Knight or Wayne Knight Collection).
