Ran Slavin is an Israeli musician, artist, filmmaker, and a cross media audio-visual artist based in Tel Aviv. He was born on December 1, 1967, in Jerusalem, Israel. Slavin began his artistic career in the early 1990s, After leaving the band in the mid-1990s, Slavin pursued a solo career as a musician, releasing several solo albums and collaborating with other musicians, including Israeli composer and producer, Yoav Goren. His musical style is often described as a mix of ambient, electronic, and experimental sounds. In addition to his music career, Slavin is also an accomplished visual artist and filmmaker. His artwork has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, and the ZKM Center for Art and Media in Germany. He has also directed and produced several short films and documentaries, many of which have been screened at international film festivals. Slavin's work often explores themes of identity, memory, and technology, and he has been recognized for his innovative and boundary-pushing approach to art and music. He has received numerous awards and grants throughout his career, including the Landau Prize for Arts and Sciences in 2003, and the Israel Lottery Council for Culture and Arts Award in 2017.
