Norwegian-Swedish musician, mainly pianist who moved to Sweden in the 1960s, born 19 August 1938 in Bergen, died 13 April 2015 in Flen. Mowinckel began his musical career in the late 1950s as a rock'n'roll singer in Oslo and later studied for Karlheinz Stockhausen in Darmstadt. In 1965 he came to Sweden and in 1969 became a member of the group Atlantic Ocean. With this group, he starred in Roy Andersson's feature film En kärlekshistoria (1970). When Atlantic Ocean was transformed into Fläsket brinner, he began a collaboration with Einar Heckscher in the group Telefon Paisa (later Sogmusobil) and later in Levande Livet. He also participated in Handgjort's last gig during the fence party in Stockholm in 1971. He also appeared on Pugh Rogefeldt's musical album Hollywood (1972). In the mid-1970s, Mowinckel's music career was broken due to a hard life, but he continued to play piano and synthesizer and in the 1990s made the electroacoustic record Skisser från Flen.
