Swedish singer, guitarist and songwriter, born March 2, 1947 in Västerås, died May 1, 2023. He debuted with the Grammy-winning album Ja, dä ä dä in 1969, which was groundbreaking as it was one of the first rock albums in Swedish. The album was recorded together with Jojje Wadenius and Janne "Loffe" Carlsson. Several successful albums followed in the 1970s. In 1978 he competed in Melodifestivalen with the song "Nattmara", which finished in third place. In the 1980s he released some less successful albums. In 1990 he formed the rock band Grymlings which released two commercially very successful albums, the first containing Rogefeldt's hit song "My best for you". After a hiatus from music, he returned in 1999 with the country album Marathon. In 2008, he was reunited with Wadenius and Carlsson on the album Vinn Hjärta Vinn. In 2012 he appeared in the TV program Så mycket bättre and in 2013 his autobiography was published; 73: From Stora gat 51 to Hog Farm. Pugh Rogefeldt ended his career in 2021.
