Born October 7, 1933 in Saint-Louis (Senegal), in a large family of "guewels" (griots) musicians and laudateurs, diva Diabou Seck called "La Saint-Louisienne" was one of the great voices of Senegalese music in the 1950s/1960s. She who was a member of the Ensemble Lyrique Sorano vanishes on January 30, 1988 in her hometown. In 1964, she recorded on the Senegalese label N'Dardisc, in duo with Amadou N'Diaye Samb, the album "Amadou N’diaye Samba & Diabou Seck", whose "Fall Amadou Abdoulaye" a famous title with griottic phrasing, originally interpreted in 1960 with a vocal ensemble and dedicated to one of its benefactors. It was remixed in 2006 in the compilation African Pearls 4 - Senegal : The Teranga Spirit, produced by Senegalese Ibrahima Sylla of Syllart Productions.
