Mathea Wlömsk

A short-lived German fusion band, whose only known document of their existence is the track "Bahama Mama" recorded at the 1978 Vlotho festival. Atzen Wehmeyer, Lisa Ohm (Öhmchen) and Thomas Kretschmann founded the band in 1978, living together in an old house in Spenge near Bielefeld. By jumbling the letters of their names they found the name Mathea Wlömsk, everyone thought it was the name of the singer, the band had a few live gigs with their own material and then disbanded.
