Gilda Maiken

American Pop and Jazz Singer (November 30, 1922 - October 14, 2001). Maiken is best known as the lead singer of The Skylarks from the 1940s thorugh the 1970s. Maiken later ran her own talent agency and was a co-founder and founding chairman of the Society of Singers, a charity founded to help former professional singers who were ill, destitute, or otherwise in need. Sang "Hold Me" on the Harry James Show 1949.
