Swedish progressive rock group from Nyköping, active 1975–1982. The band was formed when Mats Jonstam (guitar, vocals) and Staffan Hellstrand (keyboard, vocals) did a special work in music at Tessinskolan in 1975. With the help of members from the group "Borgare och bönder" (including Kjell Thunberg, bass and Peter Blomqvist, guitar) they did their first concert in the Tessin School's auditorium in May 1975. Six months later Peter Adriansson (drums) joined the group and this constellation remained unchanged until the group's split in 1982. The group played extensively all over the country and in 1977 Several radio performances and a TV appearance made the group nationally known and they could live on their music for several years to come. The group's main influences at this early stage were groups such as Genesis, Supertramp and 10cc. The group was considered part of the Swedish progg movement as their lyrics were conscious and their choice of record and distribution company went in the same direction. In 1978, the group together with Lars Tilling wrote a rock symphony ("Sinfonia Consertante") which was premiered in Nyköping and which was then performed both on radio and on concert tours. In 1979 came their second studio album (Mål) which continued in the same musical direction as the first album. It was recorded during the winter in MNW's studio in Vaxholm. The group continued to tour across the country. Several of the tours were under the auspices of Rikskonserter, for example the rock symphony was performed together with a string quartet and in Skinnskatteberg the group did a kind of workshop with local bands where the joint final concert was shown on Swedish TV (TV1, 1979). The group then transferred to the record company RCA Electra, which in 1980 released the single "Hide! / Tokyo". In 1981 came the group's last album (Jabbi dabbi). A time-typical change now was that Hellstrand and Jonstam now stood as the sole composers for the songs. On the first two albums, everyone was co-composers.
