Об исполнителе:
This is the US version of the Invisible Opera Company of Tibet, a codename and musical concept created by Daevid Allen (from the band Gong). There were several different bands in different parts of the world who picked up this concept of spirituality, lifestyle, political attitude and philosophical beliefs, trying to create a new kind of musical collective. - In Australia (1986-1992) : Invisible Opera Company of Tibet - In US (~1993-1998): The Invisible Opera Company Of Tibet (2) (this band) - In Brazil (1988-today) : Invisible Opera Company Of Tibet (Tropical Version Brazil) - In UK (1992-today) : The Invisible Opera Company Of Tibet (3) All these bands are supposed to be interconnected, sharing songs or playing with each other's members. The US version however was an exception, very few information is available on this band, and as Daevid Allen himself said "the Americans, on the other hand, are a bit out of the loop ! They are a bit weird, typical of the Los Angeles spirit. We have not yet had a good contact with them." This group was formed in the mid-1990's by William Faircloth and Dallas Taylor from the Los Angeles group Red Temple Spirits, after both of them had relocated to Sedona, Arizona. Inspired by the concept of Daevid Allen's IOCoT they gathered together other local musicians to perform around Sedona, and participated in the first Beautiful Noise music festival in Scottsdale, AZ organized by Half String band member Brandon Capps in 1993. They self-released a limited edition cassette album in 1996 called "The Alien Host," letterpress printing the J-cards at Independent Project Press, where Faircloth was working as a pressman at the time.
