Svenne Hedlund was a Swedish singer, born 1 March, 1945 in Solna, died from complictions due to covid while on tour 3 December, 2022 in Värnamo. He was mainly known as the singer in the Swedish group The Hep Stars (where Benny Andersson, later in ABBA, played keyboards), who got their breakthrough in 1965. In 1968, the American singer Charlotte Walker, later known as Lotta Hedlund, joined the group. Between 1969 and 2014 they were married and formed the singing duo Svenne & Lotta. The couple lived in Sävsjö for many years. From 2005 onwards, Hedlund did a large number of shows with The Cadillac Band. In these shows, musicians from Elvis Presley's original bands featured as guest artists, such as James Burton, D.J. Fontana, Glen Hardin, John Wilkinson. In 2007, Svenne and the band recorded three songs at Sun Studios, Memphis, Tennessee. Svenne Hedlund was inducted into the Radio Nostalgia Hall of Fame on April 4, 2014.
