Jon Smith

American sound engineer, songwriter and producer residing in Chicago, Illinois. He operates at Jon's Retro Room. Smith started his career as an assistant engineer at Universal Recording Studio. He has worked extensively as a writer and a producer with US R&B/pop/house singer, lyricist and writer Keithen Carter. Other artists he has worked with include Chi-Lites, The Dells, Linda Clifford, Manhattans, Peter Brown, Police, T'Pau, Love & Sas, Darryl Jones and Lisa Fischer. He has also recorded and mixed music for commercials. In 2013, Smith was one of the founding members of the Wire School of Music And Technology in Berwyn, Illinois, where he serves as the Chief Technologist. Note!
