Bernard "Buddy" Arnold (born August 11, 1915, in the Bronx, New York City, New York, USA - died March 30, 2004, Vero Beach, Florida, USA) was an American songwriter, author and producer, whose musical collaborators included Milton Berle, Victor Young, Woody Kling, Larry Gelbart, Jack Gould (2), and Jay Burton. Arnold studied at the City College of New York, where he met Jack Gould (2). They decided to try their hand at writing songs, and wrote "No Mama No", with the aid of Vic Mizzy and Irving Taylor. After graduation, they kept collaborating, and wrote "The Pied Piper", and "What D'ya Hear From Your Heart?" After World War II, Arnold began writing for variety shows in New York, and soon was introduced to Berle. They became friends and regulars at the Friars Clubs of New York and of Beverly Hills. At Berle's request, Arnold and Kling created the opening jingle for "Texaco Star Theater". With Berle, Arnold also wrote the song "Lucky Lucky Lucky Me". In addition to Berle, Arnold wrote for Red Buttons, Ray Bolger and Andy Williams, and for the television shows "Your Hit Parade", "The Ed Sullivan Show", "The Jackie Gleason Show" and "The Jimmy Dean Show". Among his songwriting credits are "It Only Takes a Moment", "Summer Love", and "If I Knew You Where There".
