Swedish operatic soprano and soloist manager at GöteborgsOperan, born on July 18, 1971 in Köla, Eda, Värmland and grew up in Stora Koppom. Persson was educated as a music teacher and singing-master at Musikhögskolan Ingesund and has also later been educated at the University College of Opera in Stockholm. Since 2005, she has an employed at GöteborgsOperan. At GöteborgsOperan, she has performed a series of major roles such as the title roles in 'Madama Butterfly' (Madame Butterfly), Salome and Tosca. She has also performed other major roles such as Senta in 'Der fliegende Holländer' (The Flying Dutchman) at The Royal Opera House, Stockholm, Ortlinde in 'Die Walküre' (The Valkyrie) at Théatre Du Châtelet, Paris, the title role in Turandot at Teatro Lirico, Cagliari, and Isolde in Tristan and Isolde both at Seattle Center Opera House, Oper Köln and Welsh National Opera. Annalena Persson has also sung Ludwig van Beethoven's 9th Symphony with The Chicago Symphony Orchestra conducted by Herbert Blomstedt, as well as the soprano part in Ludwig van Beethoven's 8th Symphony with Göteborgs Symfoniker and conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. Annalena Persson was earlier married to Göran Klinghagen as Anna Lena Persson Klinghagen, and is still registered with that name in 2023.
