1928: Dedication of Seattle Civic Center, comprising Civic Auditorium and Ice Arena.
1962: Development of Seattle Civic Center for the Century 21 Exposition World's Fair; involving the repurposing of the Ice Arena to the Seattle Center Arena and the gutting and renovation of the Civic Auditorium and its reopening as the Seattle Opera House, also called Seattle Center Opera House.
2003: After 18 months of renovations the Opera House reopens as Marion Oliver McCall Hall.
2007: Agreement signed with the City to redevelop Seattle Center Arena - now called Mercer Arena - as Seattle Opera Center.
2017: Mercer Arena torn down and rebuilt.
2018: Brand new, 150,000 sq ft Seattle Opera Center opens.
