American songwriter, film director, author and publicist Born February 3, 1918 in New York City, New York, USA. Died December 13, 1991 (age of 73) in California, USA. Son of songwriter Rubey Cowan. He came to Hollywood after high school in 1937. He charted as a songwriter seven times, all in 1941, between April and September. The first three chartings were of the song "Do I Worry?", which hit #4 by Tommy Dorsey and His Orchestra. The next four chartings were the song "'Til Reveille", with the highest charted versions coming from Bing Crosby's as well as Kay Keyser and His Orchestra, both of which hit #6. Both songs were co-written by Bobby Worth.
