Steve Brown (12)

Steve Brown (1944- ) was born and raised in San Francisco and attended various local schools ending up at San Francisco City College, where he graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree as a Broadcast Major. Worked in radio, retail and wholesale distribution from 1961 -1972 and went to work for the newly formed Grateful Dead Records and Round Records (3) in 1973, taking on during his tenure several roles, including album promotion, live concert on site promotion, and production roles involving album sessions, album art and working on the The Grateful Dead Movie. Left The Grateful Dead family in 1978. After his tenure with The Dead, he went on to produce benefil concerts and subsequently community television.
