Hawaiian musician, composer and arranger (born ca. 1861 – died January 17, 1894 in San Francisco, CA, USA) By profession a printer, "Jack" Ailau was a well-known Hawaiian musician and member of the Quintette Club. He wrote the music for the song "One, Two, Three, Four" (1906, with lyrics by Thomas Sylvester Kalama), which became a hit when it was included in the 1912 Broadway musical "The Bird Of Paradise." Another Hawaiian standard he composed is "Drowsy Waters" a.k.a. "Wailana Waltz." Frequently credited as Jack Alau instead of Ailau.
