Specialising in design, branding, and art direction, Farrow work with clients ranging from museums and galleries to pop music and retail, product designers and architects to restaurateurs and artists. Farrow gained their initial acclaim for work with legendary label, Factory Records and Manchester club The Hacienda and continue to play an important role in music packaging today, working with artists such as Pet Shop Boys, Kylie Minogue, Burt Bacharach, Manic Street Preachers and Spiritualized. The limited edition vinyl box set for Yes by Pet Shop Boys, received a 2009 nomination for Brit Insurance Design of the Year. The studio has received nine D&AD pencils, two Grammy nominations, 10 Music Week CAD awards, and two Art Directors Club of Europe Gold awards. In 2009 Creative Director Mark Farrow received the honour of RDI (Royal Designer for Industry). Farrow’s wide range of clients also includes The Design Council, DNA Films, Channel Five, Harvey Nichols, Jonathan Glazer, Levi’s, MTV Europe, Oliver Peyton, Rankin, Sadie Coles HQ, Samsung, The Science Museum, Uniqlo and Wilkinson Eyre Architects among many others. The studio’s work has been included in exhibitions and museums internationally including the Barbican and the Design Museum. Farrow’s work is also part of the permanent collection at the V&A. The studio’s work is regularly featured in publications including Typography Now (Booth-Clibborn) and Dictionary of Graphic Design (Thames and Hudson).
