Oklahoma musician and owner of Red Cat Event Audio and Digital Recording Company "Donnie Wood has paid his dues. Lugging sound equipment around for more than 30 years, he has been instrumental in Oklahoma’s “red dirt” movement — playing with everyone from Bob Childers to Stoney LaRue. He is also the bass player for The Dustin Pittsley Band. Anyone who knows Wood knows his true calling is music. And sound. And lights." "A "Medicine Show" veteran, Wood has played with other Red Dirt artists Bob Childers, Tom Skinner and Mitch Cason on nationally released folk label, Binky Records. His musical endeavors began with jazz scholarships to colleges NEO and OSU. He also performed outside the club arena doing percussion and trap drumming with local community jazz ensembles and choirs. A mainstay of the '90's Red Dirt Scene, he has also gone on to be published with his songwriting craft by The Great Divide and Cross Canadian as well as producing several records for regional Tulsa-based groups. In 1999, he helped organize the Red Dirt Songwriters Music Series and also engineered the performances for broadcast on National Public Radio (NPR)."
