June 2020 but there's a new PRODUCT! six years after their last album the Viennese Indie Rockers M185 are back with a new longplayer. Rumour has it that they were abducted by aliens, but that's probably another story. Whimpering synths, creaky samplers, shimmering sound surfaces and a hypnotizing groove: On their new album "Product" the Viennese band M185 combines extra-worldly musical experience with real political statements and reinvents itself in the process. Despite all the changes and estrangements, the driving force behind M185's music making has remained the same: euphoria. Just as the reference of disco music with its promise of ecstasy has been incorporated into the album, M185 makes the irrepressible feeling of euphoria audible. The bands and the records that nobody loves anymore: "For the upcoming M185 LP we buy 185 pieces of one-euro records from the rummage boxes of this city and stick the "Product" sticker set by designer Hell Mutang on them.
