Boston's long-running Classic Ruins just might be a relatively close answer to such a quandary. "Our style is what I guess you'd call garage rock, or something," says Frank Rowe, guitarist, songwriter, artist, father of two, and long-time frontman for Boston's Classic Ruins. Known for quick-paced, punchy songs packed with hooks, raunchy guitar work, deadpan vocals - and a sardonic, low-brow sense of humor - the Ruins were regulars on the Boston club circuit for several years before the release of their 1986 debut, 'Lassie Eats Chickens', and follow up 'Ruin's Cafe'. Today, the band returns from the junkyard and garage with their brand new release FORGET ABOUT IT. "The Classic Ruins have delivered their new Album right on schedule: They never fail to come up with a classic every three decades.
