Indie Rock with a fine feeling for little pop moments. A nod to a formative time and a bold look into the future. From the diffuse stunnedness of the first single "Means to an End" and the oppressive restlessness of "At the Seams" to the thematic narrative art of "For the Record" and the crushing intimacy of the final track "Smoke and Mirrors", the album is as personal as it is comprehensive. And a much-needed reminder that something beautiful can emerge from something so devastating. The album was recorded at the Bear Cave Studio in Cologne with Jan Niklas Jansen and Bj?rn Sonnenberg-Schrank (Locas In Love). Mixed and mastered with Adam Hirsch (Sam Amidon) and Jacob Winik (Magnetic Fields, John Vanderslice), in San Francisco and Oakland at the tiny telephone studios. After a series of concerts as support for Wintersleep in September as well as a highly acclaimed performance at last year's Reeperbahn Festival, the Hamburg band was able to draw attention to themselves as support for Lightning Dust in Vienna, Munich, Hamburg and Copenhagen in December. Further dates are in planning. The album artwork consists of paintings by New England based artist and musician Jarid del Deo, who also records under the name Unbunny.
