Примечание: After a decade of sessioning for an array of Bands and Artists in London, most notably taking the Trad-Metal Band Monument from its urban origins to playing main stages at festivals all over Europe, it was high time for Dan Baune to write and record some music of his own. Together with trusted friend and power-house drummer Sebastian Weiss, Dan wrote and arranged an album that pays homage to their musical roots, chiefly Thrash Metal, NWoBHM and Melodic Death Metal from the early noughties. The album showcases the duo's versatility and represents a new beginning for Dan in particular. As he left London behind in 2020 in favour of his ancestral home Germany, Lost Sanctuary not only brings him back to his roots, but also serves as a catharsis of sorts: Out with the old, in with the new! After his successful career as a side-man, Lost Sanctuary firmly establishes Dan Baune as a world-class multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and an artist to be reckoned with. Not only is the song-writing formidable, but so is the production. With Dan himself at the mixing desk helm, the album features a sound that is both organic and modern by design, for all those listeners who are tired of hearing the same pre-set guitar tones and drum samples on every production. Lastly, the duo went all out with the stunning array of guests featured on the album. "Over the years I had made all these amazing friends in the industry. And you know how it is, you always hope that you'll get to work together some day, but it usually never happens, as everyone's always so busy and on the road. Ships in the night and all that... So when we decided to do this album I thought to myself: Now is my chance to get a bunch of people involved who I've always wanted to work with, but never had the chance to. So we made it happen!
